Description of Design Project
Charles Chappell is a sixth-grade history teacher. He is reviewing educational websites for information he can use in his classroom.
- The following information is about the Library of Congress website: http://www.loc.gov
- Which fonts are used for the main content on the home page?: font-family: sans-serif;
Are the same fonts used consistently on the other pages of the site?: Yes they all link to the same external style sheet. - Do you see ordered or unordered lists on any pages in the site? Yes, though it isn't obvious from looking at the web pages. E.g., on http://www.loc.gov/discover/ the links on the web page are structures as unordered lists. The unordered lists are styled too not look like lists.
- The style sheet used for the web site is http://www.loc.gov/static/stylesheets/base.css
- Do you see the use of Cascading Style Sheets noted in the source code?: Besides the base.css style sheet used in the html pages of the web site, there are style sheets that are linked to by base.css also.
